With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rodney Foster Davenport of Deville, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2025 at the age of 72. As we bid Rodney Foster farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rodney Foster is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his son Wes Davenport; his parents, David Davenport and Bobbie Frazar; and his sister Susan Davenport. He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda Davenport (Richard Dufour), Roxanne Davenport and Lindsey Dungan; and his grandchildren, Braxton Johnston and Ayla Johnston. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gallagher Funeral Home (3994 Monroe Hwy, Ball, LA 71405). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
