He is survived by: his children, Francis Brister of Deville, Patrick Brister of Pineville, Richard Brister (Melissa) of Deville, Cecilia Brister of Deville and Theresa Brister (Tina) of Glenmora; and his siblings, Charles Brister of Pollock, Dan Brister (Sandra) of Elmer, Margaret Funderburk (Dale) of Simpson, JoAnn Nugent of Kincade Lake and Fay Lewis (Shelton) of Elmer. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
