Ezra Lee Reed Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2018, at the age of 76, Ezra Lee Reed (Deville, Louisiana) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ezra Lee Reed to pay them a last tribute.
He treated all equally and tried to live by the verses of Matthew 25:35-40 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' 37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alexandra Reed; infant son; parents, Matt Edward, Sr. and Nula Lucas Reed; brothers, Clyde Reed and Carlton Reed; sisters, Edna Beaubouef and Ellen Marie Reed. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years, Margaret Ann Reed; son, Matthew William Reed (Patty); daughter, Rebecca Schupkegel and husband, Karoly; brothers, Shelton Reed and wife, Joyce, Matt Reed, Jr. and wife, Janice, Lloyd Reed and D.H. Reed and wife, Judy; sisters, Vernell McCarty, Neva Belgard and husband, Winford, Evie Beaubouef and Ethel Sims; grandson, Brandt Rachel; mother-in-law, Marie Thompson (Hudy Vidrine); brother-in-law, Ronnie Thompson and wife, Sara; sister-in-law, Delma Reed; numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends. The family would like to thank Amedisys Home Health-Michelle Desselle and Amanda Calloway for their loving and extra special care of their father. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the WD Fisher Lodge #480, Deville, Louisiana.
