It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Effie Earlene Lucas of Deville, Louisiana, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dell Newcomb and Onie Newcomb; and her siblings, Claude Newcomb, George Newcomb, Edith Bryant, Mary Price, Thelma McCann and Velma Paulk.
She is survived by: her husband A. W. Lucas; her children, Carl Lucas (Melinda), Sheila Chandler (Curt) and Sherri Lucas; her grandchildren, Heather Nida (Travis), Rebecca Holt (Jamie), Crystal Chandler (Kaylee), Cody Chandler (Mattie), Andrea Lucas and Andrew Lucas; her great grandchildren, Wesley Nida, Bailee Holt, William Nida and Walker Chandler; and her brother Huey Newcomb (Lois).
