She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbert Smith; her sons, J. C. Smith, Sammy Smith and Claude Smith; her parents, Frank Miller and Addie Jenkins Miller; and her siblings, Hudie Miller, Marvin Miller, Glen Miller, Willis Miller and Jenny Mae Miller Shepard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce Smith Reed (Shelton), Linda Smith Beaubouef (Claude) and Carleen Smith Gauthier (Glenn). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; sister.
The family has designated the March of Dimes, 3327 Jackson St, Alexandria, LA 71301, for memorial contributions.
