She was predeceased by: her husband Troy Chouest; and her parents, Burton Ernst and Rita Ernst. She is survived by: her children, Cherie Decker (Donald), Ramona Williamson (Scott), Sara Smoot and Enrique O. Gutierrez III (Beth); her siblings, Mary Braquet (Pete), Lindelle Nichols (George), Burton Ernst (Bee) and John Ernst (Lisa); her grandchildren, Collin Decker (Sarah), Peyton Decker (Libby), Joshua Gutierrez, Brenna Gutierrez, Amelia Williamson, Layah, Jade and Michah Smoot; and her great grandchildren, Beckham, Gideon and Mila Decker. She is also survived by her family- especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
