He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Clark Heckathorn and Johnnie Mae McGee Heckathorn; and his brother Robert J. Heckathorn. He is survived by: his siblings, Alice Jean Heckathorn Johnson (Ferrell), Joseph A. LaBruzza (Kathy), Kenneth C. Heckathorn and Sammie C. LaBruzza; his son Jake Michael Heckathorn; and his grandchildren, Skylar Heckathorn, Saige Walls and Khloe Heckathorn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
