He was predeceased by: his wife Elnora "Nunnie" Candies Cornwell; his parents, Grover Cornwell and Bessie Cornwell; and his siblings, John Cornwell, Charles Cornwell Sr., Grover Cornwell Jr., Bertha Coshatt, Marguerite Stephens and Sarah Roberts.
He is survived by: his children, Doyle Cornwell (Leah Matherne) and Deena Chadwick (Greg Hatfield); and his sister Cora Bell Cortez. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
