She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Gholston, Jr. and Naomi Webb. She is survived by: the father of her children Samuel Briggs Sr. of Leesville, LA; her children, Veleda Briggs of Deridder, LA, Samuel Briggs II (Zahira) and Steven Briggs of Leesville, LA; and her siblings, Helen McKinney of Emory, MS, Denise "William" Dennard of Novi, MI, Rosalind Williams (Carlton) of Monroe, OH, Belinda Gholston of Monroe, OH, Carla Jones (Connie) of Oklahoma City, OK, Norman Gholston (Carrie) of Phenix City, AL and Dennis Frierson (Tanya) of Inkster, MI. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
