With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ramona Copeland Avant of Deridder, Louisiana, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on April 6, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Lee Copeland and Fleta Adair Wimberly Copeland. She is survived by: her husband N. Thomas Avant; and her siblings, Gilda Copeland Whittington, Andrea Copeland Seals and Kaysea Copeland Nunez (Chuck).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in memory of Ramona Copeland Avant to White Oaks Ministries to build a faith based therapeutic home for trafficked and sexually abused children.
