He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Melanie Shirley Marcello; his stepfather John Marcello (Nedra) of DeRidder; his father Kinney Reid Hanchey, III; his grandmothers, Dr. Lennie Hanchey and Rita Shirley; his uncles, Kevin Hanchey of Baton Rouge and Brian Shirley (Katheryn) of DeRidder; his aunt Melinda Pekol (Greg) of Parker, Colorado; his stepsister Monica Leigh Watkin (Scott) of Houston, Texas; his cousins, Lennsey Hilbert (Duval), Canson Hilbert, Alice Hanchey, William Hanchey, Brooke Shirley Miller (Dylan), Brittany Shirley, Samantha Pekol Gordy (Michael) and Jacob Pekol; his grandfathers, Ken Hanchey, Jr. and Robert Shirley; and his great-grandparents, Hanchey, Sr., Alice Hanchey, Sis Plunkett, Bertrand and Gladys Hayes Simmons.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Reid's memory can be made to the First United Methodist Church General Fund or First Baptist Church of DeRidder. Donations can also be made to the American Heart Association or any other charity.
