He was predeceased by: his parents, George Runge and Myrtle Runge; his wife Elizabeth Runge; his daughter Patricia Boyle; his granddaughter Heather Runge; and his siblings, Howard Runge, Bobbie Runge, Gerald Runge, Kenneth Runge, Stanley Runge, Oneta Keel, Hazel Branam, Hettie Beaton, Sue Martinez and Tommie James.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Runge (Elizabeth), Eric Runge (Mindy), Sherry Myers of Baton Rouge, LA and Sandra Clark of DeRidder, LA; his sister Delores Runge of DeRidder, LA; his grandchildren, Laranda Peterson (Daniel), Devin Janice and Haydn Runge; and his niece Misty Runge-Janice (Anthony). He is also survived by thirty great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
