He was predeceased by: his mother Minnie L. Busby Tellis; and his siblings, Marvin Tellis, Minnie Robertson and Bennie Mae Tellis. He is survived by: his siblings, Bobbie Tellis of DeRidder, LA, Carrie Tellis of DeRidder, LA, Lesher Tellis of DeRidder, LA, Sandra Taylor (Anthony), Elanda Tellis of Sulphur, LA and Donnie Tellis (Sophia); his aunts, Bobbie Johnson of Houston, TX and Marie Jackson of Silsbee, TX; his fiancée Alice Jackson of DeRidder, LA; his stepsons, Adrian Dorsey, Johnathan Dorsey, Donavon Jackson (Lanesha) and Carl Jackson; his grandchildren, Taliyah, Jalysia, Daveon, Xavier and Coreyon; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Justin, Jr., Owen, NeVaeh, Elijah and Bernice. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
