It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ewell Archield (Deridder, Louisiana), who passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Archield and Thelma Archield; his children, Kervin Archield, Howard Steele and Debra Steele-Lockett; and his siblings, Leo, Donald Joe, Charles, Cecelia, Anna Rose Archield, Shirley Scott and Pam Chavis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Archield; his children, Alfred Archield, Anthony Steele (Teuwanda), Corwin Archield (Wanda), Quincy Archield (Gaile), Donovan Archield, Thelma Francisco, Sharon McLendon, Angela Archield, Cecely Buckley (Hosea) and Dana Archield; and his siblings, Ruby Jean Jenkins, Hazel Spikes and Douglas L. Archield (Lula). He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
