He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Lee "Sam" and Lillie Marie Stowe; his siblings, Chuck Stowe, Earline Reynolds and Margie McClesky; and his children, Eugene Whittington and Angela Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Stowe of DeRidder, LA; his children, Timothy Purdy (Lakaybra) and Melissa Deans of DeRidder, LA; his sisters, Annie McCants of New Caney, TX and Dorothy Nelson of Washington, D. C.; his grandchildren, Ryan Phillips, Sarah, Alex Phillips, Josh Deans, Travis Deans, Kinzlee, Knox, Kowan, Clint Armstrong, Lakin and Cody Armstrong; his great grandchildren, Rowdy, Audrina, Maverick, Payton, Nora Jean, Levi, Miley and Kingston; and his siblings, Betty O'Banion and Sherman Clark. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Myers Colonial Funeral Home (3178 US-190, DeRidder, LA 70634). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
