We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2024, at the age of 70, Charlotte Smith Butler of Deridder, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Wesley and Ann Morel Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Warren Butler and David John Butler of DeRidder; her former husband James Butler of Clarksville; her stepmother Lilly Ford Smith; her stepbrother Ike Stewart (Erin Chesnutt); her nephew Ryan Stewart of DeRidder; and her pet Shiloh.

She retired in 2020, primarily due to her illness and the threat of COVID exposure.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Doctors Without Borders.
