She was predeceased by: her son Dale Whiddon; and her husbands, Edwin J. "Buddy" Whiddon and Dr. Paul Story. She is survived by: her son Eddie Whiddon of DeRidder, LA; her siblings, Yvonne Carter of Tioga, LA, Steve Graves and Carroll Walker Aycock; and her nephew Carroll Walker Aycock. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of DeRidder, LA.. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the First Baptist Church in Betty's memory, a fitting tribute to one who cherished her faith and her community so deeply.
