He was predeceased by: his wife Jewel Phillips; his children, Darrell Phillips, Mark Phillips and Emma Ryder; and his siblings, Earl James Phillips, Betty Ruth LaPoint and Mildred Sue Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Frances Pruitt of DeRidder, LA and Lloyd J. Phillips of DeRidder, LA; and his siblings, Jack Phillips (Margaret) and Loretta Whitaker of DeRidder, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
