We are sad to announce that on April 7, 2024, at the age of 82, William Ernest Vandergriff Sr. of Dequincy, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Vandergriff and Beatrice Vandergriff; and his siblings, Derrick Smith, Shirley Rose and Sandra Bayless.
He is survived by: his wife Quita Vandergriff; his children, William Vandergriff, Jr. (Lisa), Michael Vandergriff (Julie), Susan Sherwood (Clay) and Jaime Herndon (Bobby); his stepdaughters, Donna Salinas (Roger), Debra Browning and Diana Gilbert; and his siblings, Lionel Vandergriff (Ruthe), James Vandergriff (Marcel), Thomas Vandergriff and Mary Armstrong (David). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Billy's name.
