He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clark, Annie Rainwater, Randall "Bob" and Neva Lee Burgess; and his close friend Ricky Royer.

He is survived by: his wife Shanna Sellers; his children, Dustin Sellers (Krista Stricklen), Matthew Sellers (Marley), Pryce Fontenot and Jansen Fontenot (Morgan); his grandchildren, Madelyn Sellers, Sophia Sellers and Ivy Fontenot; his parents, Jimmy Burgess and Ethyl Burgess; and his siblings, Wayne Burgess (Michelle) and Crystal Sharp (Louie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
