He was predeceased by: his parents, E. J. Simon and Nina Simon; and his brother James Simon. He is survived by: his wife Dewana Simon; the mother of his children Kathy Hammett; his children, Stacy Simon, Anita Maddox (Ken), Wayne Simon Jr. (Kim), James Sims, Jason Sims and Christene Sims; and his siblings, Linda Smith, Virginia White (Garland), Euell Simon (Sandy) and Hilda Says. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
