With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thor McCaughey (Vinton, Louisiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Thor may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He is survived by: his wife Amanda McCaughey; his children, Jacob McCaughey and Zane McCaughey; his parents, Don McCaughey and Lorraine McCaughey; and his siblings, Cass McCaughey (Regina), Brett McCaughey (Tammy) and Fara Cloud (Shannon). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vinton Methodist Church (1102 Horridge St, Vinton, LA 70668). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Vinton Methodist Church (1100 Horridge St, Vinton, LA 70668).
