Thomas Shoemake Obituary
Thomas Shoemake, 77, from DeQuincy and a resident of Sulphur, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was born in DeQuincy, LA. on February 1, 1940 to parents Fred and Eula Shoemake. He liked to deer hunt, run equipment, loved playing Bluegrass music, and loved his grandchildren very much. He is survived by sons, Thomas "Tommy" E. Shoemake and wife Ellen J. Shoemake, James "Jimmy" Michael Shoemake and wife Maria Shoemake, Anthony Milton (Tony) Shoemake and wife Donna Shoemake; two brothers, Clarence Shoemake, Red Shoemake; one sister, Delores Conner; eight grandchildren, Michael, Pam, Heather, Shane, Kara, Brittney, Garrett, Brian; along with eleven great grandchildren, Oakley, Jai, Copeland, Denham, Mason, Whitley, Allie, Kent Ray, Driften, Maddie, and Gunner. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Beverly Jean Shoemake; parents, Fred and Eula Shoemake; one brother, Billy B. Shoemake. Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in DeQuincy on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 10:00am with Bro. Roland Hebert officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the church from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and will resume on Tuesday, from 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
