With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John D. Henagan (Dequincy, Louisiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Henagan; and his parents, Shirley "Buck" Henagan and Maureen McFatter Henagan. He is survived by: his children, Darlene Floyd (David) of Ragley, Johna Williams (Roy) of DeQuincy and David Henagan (Angela) of DeQuincy; and also Shirley Young (Rodney) of Katy, Texas.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home (1810 W Fourth St, DeQuincy, LA 70633). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Rigmaiden Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church of DeQuincy or Louisiana Baptist Children's Home would be appreciated.
