He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Hyatt; his parents, George Hyatt and Mary Rogers; and his siblings, Jessie Rogers, Leona Sharbino, Silisten Dunham and Barbara Biddle.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Hyatt, George Hyatt Jr. (Tina), Louann Decker (James) and Charles Jacob Hyatt (Kristie); his grandchildren, Samantha Brown, Brian Hyatt, Jacob Hyatt, Kyle Hyatt, Alex Paugh (Sarah), Jeff Hyatt, Brooklyn Hyatt, Dylan Decker, Brandon Hyatt, Haleigh Hyatt, Jazmyn Hyatt, Clayton Chaney and Bret Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Amira, Tyren, Wrynlee, Ryver, Remie, Bennett, Nova, Angelle, Gary, Emperance, Raizlyn, Jaxson, Josie and Rollen; the mother of his children Dolores Navarro; and his siblings, Emmy Hydle (Robert), Charles Rogers (Carla), Robert Rogers and Ida Mae Dunham (Bobby). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home (1810 W Fourth St, DeQuincy, LA 70633). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Oretta Cemetery.
