She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Smith (Bud); her grandson Justin Smith; her parents, Rachel Hursey and John Willis Hursey; her brothers, Willis Ray Hursey and Curtis Sandifer; her son-in-law Pat DeRamus; and her pet Tater Bud.
She is survived by: her children, Eddie Smith (Vicki) of Fields, James Smith of Fields and Sarah DeRamus of Westlake; her grandchildren, Eddie Smith (Cantrell), Kimberly Bolton (Casey) of Fields, Emily McDaniel (Jeremy) of Creole, Micca Robin of Westlake and Jordan Smith of DeQuincy; her sisters, Laverne Says of Starks and Linda Ragle (Herbert) of Longville; and her pet Freckles. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
