He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Jewell and Willie Jewell; and his siblings, Rosemary Jewell, Maud Felton, Johnny Jewell and Al Frerick Jewell.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Jewell; his daughters, Lasonya Jewell-Antone and Brenda Moreaux (Richard); his grandchildren, Ashllyne Graham (Colton) and Michael Moreaux (Andrea); and his siblings, Vernell Jewell, Willie Stacy Jewell (Mary) and Myra Fretty.
