He was predeceased by: his son Barry Frank Deaton; his parents, Dexter Deaton Sr. and Melba Gates (Charlie); and his brother-in-law Roger Maynor. He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Dawn Fields (Jerry) and Dana Holiman Ryan; his grandchildren, Faith Simmons (Justin), Weston Fields, Landon Fields, Shelbey Hang (William), Raegan Worsham (Brad), Dustin Fields (Fernanda), Connor Holiman, Drew Holiman, Latasha, Trey Holiman and Ainsley; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Gracelyn, Callhan, Toyn, Hanson, Liv, Banks, Karter and Alaina; his siblings, Ellen Maynor, Robert Deaton (Carey), Charlotte Sewell and Dexter "Buddy" Deaton Jr. (Brenda); and his stepmother Pat Deaton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
