It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Boyd Brown Sr. (Denham Springs, Louisiana), who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Walter Boyd may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Walter Boyd touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Kathleen Jarrell and Ralph Walter Brown; and his brothers, Charlie Brown and Roy Brown. He is survived by: his children, Doris Brown, Walter Brown, Jr. and Troy Illgen (Laura); and his grandchildren, Joshau Daigrepont (Lindsey), Kearstin Brown (Kayla Freeman), Emily Breazeale, Sam Houston and Callie Houston. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jackson Park (Jackson Park, Central, LA 70818).
