He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Yott and Cecile M. Pallissard; his son Ritchie Yott (Deborah); and his wife Shirley Mae Lecuyer. He is survived by: his children, Renee Belcher (Don), Ethel, Zachary, Andrea Bonadona (Lance) and Matthew Yott (Anita); his grandchildren, Lauryn Polite (Jason), John David Belcher, Shannan Bogard (Cleman), Joshua Yott, Sophia Bonadona, Marissa Hofstetter (David), Brandon Burt, Jackson Yott, Jenna Yott, Landon Wall and John Robinson; his great grandchildren, Wesley Bogard, Christian Yott, Kent Yott, Landry Polite and Merrick Hofstetter; his sisters, Dorothy Griswold (Jay), Katie Higgason, Frannie Newberry, Joanne Sherwood (Mike) and Rita Horn (Dave); and his brothers-in-law, Cliff Higgason and Jack Newberry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
