Meredith is survived by: husband Orville C. Stephens; niece Alice B. Smith; sister-in-law Clair Stephens; daughter-in-law Sonja Portier; and grandchildren, Anthony Portier, Marjorie Portier, Charmagne Leggett, Victoria Portier, Olivia Bankston and Dawn Portier. Meredith is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, and a multitude of cousins and nephews.
