She was predeceased by: her parents, Numa Verret, Jr. and Rena Broussard; her husbands, Charles Shelden and William Toler; her siblings, Leroy, Allen, Carroll Verret, Rose Touvell, Geneva Jennings and Shirley Burwell; and her sons, Kenny and Carl Shelden.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Shelden, Michael Shelden, Karen Furnish (Alan), Linda Kilchrist and Julie Kennison (Dewayne); her daughter-in-law Krissi Shelden; her siblings, Mildred "Midge" DeBarge and Larry Verret (Jean); her grandchildren, Casey Provenzo (Tony), Scott Furnish (Dayna), Maggie Broussard (Colby), Nick Shelden (Becca), Matthew Shelden, Amanda Redfield (Devon) and Londyn Kennison; and her great grandchildren, Allie Aldrich, Stephen, Agnes Marie, Thomas, Michael, Margaret Rose Furnish, Mila Martin, Camille Broussard, Colette, Peter, Joseph Shelden, Makenna, Bailey Shelden and Oren Redfield.
