He was predeceased by: his daughter Becky McDonald; his parents, DaisyRushing McDonald and Ben McDonald; his brother Ronald McDonald; and his in-laws, Mary Lee Rancher and Vardie Rancher.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Rancher McDonald; his children, Pasha McDonald Sceroler (Donnie) and Ben McDonald (Nicole); his grandchildren, Jorie McDonald, Jase McDonald, Mac Sceroler (Maggie) and Kylie Sceroler Morris (Brady); his sister Shirley McDonald Underwood (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Ramona Pope, Vardie Rancher (Shelia) and Hardie Rancher (Lyn).
