He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clinton Garrett and Eugenia Gomez Garrett; and his siblings, Levi, Lawrence, Amos, Donnie, Leanna, Alsie, Elaine and Lizzie.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Garrett; his children, Debbie Unbehagen, Pat Garrett (Laura), Sherry Flanagan (Richard) and Stephanie Gautreaux; his grandchildren, Brooke, Devin and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Kaden, Samuel and Adalynn; and his brother Henry Garrett.
