He is survived by: his wife Peggy Dartez; his daughters, Pam Nixon (Ricky), Phyllis Butler (Anthony) and Sherri Reeves (Mike); his grandchildren, Bradley Nixon, Troy Nixon (Mandy), Brittany Durand (Aaron), Brennan Butler (Elizabeth) and Chandler Reeves (Kailey); and his sister Margaret Farrow Smith (John). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First United Pentecostal Church (1020 S Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Greenoaks Memorial Park (9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815).
