He was predeceased by: his brother Bruce Bessonett; his daughter Phylis Manning; and his parents, John Bessonett and Nelle Bessonett. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Bessonett; his stepdaughter Mekell Traylor; his grandchildren, Ashtyn, Caden Traylor and Hunter Whittington; and his pet Roxie.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Seale Funeral Home (1720 S Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
