Herman Bounds Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herman Bounds (Denham Springs, Louisiana), who passed away on February 14, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Herman departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Herman. Though Herman may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Bounds and Zella Robinson Bounds; and his siblings, Herbert, Julius, Leslie and Marjorie.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Forbes Bounds; and his children, Karen Bounds Buratt, Kathy Bounds Hinckley (Bob) and Benny Bounds (Lisa). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Pentecostal Church (1020 S Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sibley Cemetery (31365 Cane Market Rd, Walker, LA 70785).
