She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Elliott and Christina Elliott; and her brother Mike Elliott. She is survived by: her husband David Smith; her children, Michael Smith and Sarah Smith Bridges (Bronson); and her grandchildren, London, Lottie and Roman.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church (19421 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs, LA 70739). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the International Mission Board with a notation in the memo "In memory of Gay Lynn Smith" and mailed to 3806 Monument Ave., Richmond, VA 23230.
