He was predeceased by: his son Gary "Bo" Hughes; his parents, Nina Hughes and Oscar Hughes; and his siblings, Berry Ann McMichael, Billy Hughes and Jessie Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hughes; his son Mark Hughes (Sherrie); his grandchildren, Siera, Katie, Devon Hughes, Courtney and Hunter Kelly; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Emmitt, Cambrie, Dravin Caston, Zeplin, Colton, Bryson and Layton; and his sisters, Faye Breland (Carl), Brenda Philips and Linda Sue Sands (Don).
