With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emmet E. Root of Denham Springs, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John M. Root, Jr.; and his brother John Root. He is survived by: his mother Ruby F. Griffin; his grandchildren, John A. Root (Jennifer), Matthew G. Root, Kristen, Jackson, Jacob, Judson, Willis M. Root, Kimberly, Savannah, Micayla, Easton, Case, Lillian and Thaddeus; and his brother Norman Root.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Greenwell Springs Baptist Church youth ministry.
