She is survived by: her children, Marsa Merrick (Tom) of Ingleside, TX, Sabra Caldwell Comish (Byron) of Denham Springs, LA and Jeff Phillips (Miki) of Fisher, LA.; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Merrick (Dawn) of New Braunfels, TX, Phillip Merrick (Carrie) of Columbus, OH, Col. James Caldwell (Katie) of Madison, AL, Christine Hughes (Kris) of Huntland, TN, Meredith Hudson (Jacob) of Pineville, LA, Frank Lenoir (Jessica) of DeRidder, LA and T. J. Phillips of Fisher, LA.; her great grandchildren, J. J., Jamie, Jack Merrick of New Braunfels, TX, Thomas Merrick of Columbus, OH, Isaac, Emily Caldwell of Madison, AL, Kristina, Leah, Alan, Corinne Hughes of Huntland, TN and Emma Joy Hudson of Pineville, LA.; and her sister-in-law Joanne Pickett of Many, LA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Joy was active in the Fisher Heritage Foundation and was chairperson of the Fisher Sawmill Days for 18 years.
