She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel William Slaton and Mary Lena LeJeune Slaton; her great grandchild Bryce William Edling; her sister Betty Lou Slaton Thames; and her sister-in-law Betty Terrell Slaton.
She is survived by: her husband Willie Hale Blount; her children, Willie Anthony Blount (Aimee), Jean Ann Blount and Suzanne Blount; and her siblings, Jerry Slaton, Marguerite Slaton Dedon and Shirley Jean Slaton Roe (Roy). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
