Peebles Sr. of Delta, Louisiana, born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Peebles and Thelma Peebles Day; his stepfather Thomas Ellis Day; and his brothers, Carl Peebles, Jackie Peebles and Buster Peebles.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Huff Peebles of Delta; his children, Billy J. Peebles, Jr. (Suzy) of Delta, LA and Vickie Peebles Boler of Vicksburg, MS; and his siblings, Thelma LaRue Cobb, Buddy Ray Peebles (Gwen) and Gene Wesley Peebles. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Glenwood Funeral Home (145 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at the Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery (191 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180).
