Virginia Marjorie Wilson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 78, Virginia Marjorie Wilson of Delhi, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Horace Montgomery Wilson; her parents, Samuel Darrell Bass and Virginia Mae Launsby; her granddaughter Virginia Rose Stowe; and her sister Doris Rebecca Robbins.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Shelton (Jeff) of Decatur, MS, Gary Ray Wilson (Mickey) of Delhi, Lisa Marie Black (Stephen) of Crowville, LA and Marjorie Michelle Nielsen (Brandon) of Swartz, LA; her grandchildren, Christopher Tharpe (Rachel), Shelby Wilson, Gage Cantin (Rachel), Heather Gregory (Ken), Horace Wilson III (Faith), Cameron Stowe (Emily), Andrew Wilson (Kayla), Mitchell Nielsen (Cassie), Hannah Beth Nielsen, Khara Hafner, David Aldrich (Sarah), Claudia Simmons (Austin) and Everett Black (Tyra); and her siblings, Ruth Kelley and Darrell Bass. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Homes - Delhi Chapel (724 Broadway St, Delhi, LA 71232). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of Flowers, our mom would love to have donations made to RFKNELA; 740 Finks Hideaway Rd., Monroe, LA 71203, a camp for children in foster care that many of her children and grandchildren are passionate about.
