He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar Turnbow and Maggie Lee Hemphill Turnbow; his son James Edward; and his siblings, Connie Carr, Linda Smith and Donnie Turnbow.
He is survived by: his daughters, Candace Spann (Corey), Vickie Peoples (Don Evans) and Mandy Adams (Walter); his grandchildren, John David Easterling (Renee), Aleigha Easterling (D. J.), Abigal Prine (Dakota), Cameron Evans, Karmen Collum, Hannah Chaston and Meadow Adams; his great grandchildren, Bethany Easterling, Aubrey Gaza, Brooklyn Norton, David Norton Jr., Alice Prine and Kolden Prine; and his siblings, Leonard Turnbow (Kathy), Cathy DeGraw (Ricky) and Jean Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
