She was predeceased by: her son Charlie; her parents, Troyce Carter and Louise Huffman Carter; and her sister Rhonda Parks. She is survived by: her husband Harold G. "Bud" Sowers; her son Benjamin G. Sowers (Felicia) of Huntsville, Alabama; her grandson Tyson Thomas; and her siblings, Missy Grisom, Cindy Duffield and Troyce Carter, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Newton Cemetery. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at the same location.
