He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Henry Gilbert and Enid Myrtle Perry Gilbert; and his brother Clayborn Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hosea Gilbert; his sons, Michael of Delhi and William Gilbert (Erin) of Delhi; his grandchildren, Dykota "Kody" Gilbert (Mikell), Maria Kathryne Mann (Cody), Emma Grace Gilbert, Molly Elizabeth Gilbert, Sam Vining, Averie Vining and Katie Vining; his great grandchildren, Jaeleigh Gilbert and Parker Joseph Mann; and his siblings, Owen Gilbert of Shreveport, LA, George Gilbert of El Dorado, AR, Ruth Arnold of Clinton, MS and Inez Jinks of Delhi, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
