He was predeceased by: his parents, James Willis Bowman and Minnie Leona Conrad Bowman; and his siblings, William, Buford, Otis Bowman, Oretus Thames and Edna Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Nell Eason Bowman; his children, Tammy Robbins (Windell Robbins, Jr.), Charles R. Bowman, Jr. (Susan) and Otis Lyn Bowman (Sandra); and his grandchildren, Leigh Ann Sporich (Donny), William Christopher Robbins (Amanda), Brandon Scott Bowman, Matthew Wayne Bowman (Ashlin), Zachary Lyn Bowman (Shelby) and Logan James Bowman. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
