We are sad to announce that on October 22, 2020, at the age of 75, Royal Chambers of Delcambre, Louisiana, born in Saint Martinville, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Chambers, Sr. and Henrietta Polite Chambers; his grandchild Chelsie Walker; and his siblings, Bernise Chambers, Earl Chambers (Ernest Chambers) and Myrtle Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Shelby George Chambers of Delcambre, LA; his children, Dana C. Breaux (Corie) of Delcambre, LA, Travis Chambers, Martin Sanders of Delcambre, LA and Troy Johnson (Cassandra) of New Iberia, LA; his siblings, Mary Fezzia, LouCindy Borner of Charenton, LA, Consuella Williams (Clyde) of Houston, TX and Lawrence Chambers, Jr. (Rose) of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Troynae Walker, Marisa Melancon, Quentin Melancon, Josh Harris, Markel Chambers, Terrance Marshal, Troy Johnson, Jr., Traven Chatman, Justin Johnson, Dakota Johnson, Tyler Wiltz and Austin Wiltz; and his godchild Trenetta Olivier. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday at the church at 8:00 A. M. until 10:45 A. M. with a rosary to be recited at 9:00 A. M. Due to the pandemic, all attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing at the church and cemetery.
