It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leroy Ledet Sr. of Delcambre, Louisiana, who passed away on April 20, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ledet and Mazie Trahan Ledet; his grandparents, Ozema Trahan, Lilly Trahan, Gustave Ledet and Victoria Ledet; his brother Leo Norris Ledet; and his granddaughter Jasmine Celestine Active (Paul Broussard).
He is survived by: his close friend Anna Mae Thibeaux of Carencro, LA; his children, Leroy Ledet, Jr. of New Iberia, LA, Allen Ledet of New Iberia, LA, Kendal Ledet of New Iberia, LA, George Celestine of New Iberia, LA, Brad Celestine (Judy) of New Iberia, LA, Ronnie Celestine (Roshell) of New Iberia, LA, Donnie Celestine (Bretisha) of New Iberia, LA, Eldridge Celestine of New Iberia, LA, Marie Ledet of Baytown, TX, Dell Hogan (Felton) of New Iberia, LA, Elise Mouton of New Iberia, LA, Ida Samantha Mouton of Lafayette, LA, Jesaella Lilly (Kenneth) of Lafayette, LA and Legia Barns (Malcolm); and his sisters, Dorothy Trahan (Walter) of New Iberia, LA, Willie Mae Savoy (Wilson) of Highland, TX, Rose Broussard (Paul) of Missouri City, TX, Anna Ledet of Loreauville, LA and Rosa Ledet of Lafayette, LA. He is also survived by fifty-seven grandchildren; sixty-four great-grandchildren.
